1. Who we are

BetterJobs.lk is a job listing website operating in Sri Lanka. You can reach us through our contact form or at admin@betterjobs.lk.

2. Using the site

• Browsing jobs and using the CV checker are free and need no account.
• You may use the site for your own job search or hiring.
• You may not copy our listings in bulk, use automated tools to scrape the site, or resell our content.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

4. Job listings

• Employers are responsible for what they post.
• Listings marked Verified have been checked by a person on our team; listings without that badge have not been.
• Either way we are not the employer, we do not decide who gets hired, and we cannot promise a listing is accurate or still open.
• We may edit, reject or remove any listing, including one that has been paid for, if it is misleading, discriminatory, a scam, or asks candidates for money.

5. Paid placement

Featured listings and banner adverts are paid placement. They are always labelled. Paying for placement does not change how our search works, does not make a listing Verified, and does not give an employer access to candidate data they would not otherwise have.

6. Never pay for a job

A genuine employer does not ask you for money to apply, to be shortlisted, or for training, a visa or a deposit. If a listing on this site asks you for money, please report it through our contact form and we will look at it first.

7. The CV checker

The CV checker gives you an automated opinion on how your CV reads to screening software. It is guidance, not a guarantee. A high score does not mean you will be hired, and a low one does not mean you will not be. How we handle your file is set out in our Privacy Policy.

8. Your content

What you upload stays yours. By posting a job or submitting a listing you give us permission to show it on the site and in search results. You confirm you have the right to post it.

9. What we do not promise

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will never be down or never contain a mistake. We are not responsible for what happens between you and an employer, or for anything on a website we link to.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. When we make an important change we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
